Karina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Instituto Tecnológico de Mexicali in Baja California, Mexico, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with postgraduate specialization in Psychotherapy from Univer University in Mexicali.
She worked for two years as a database administrator at Instituto Valle de Mexicali, where she managed the school’s information system, ensuring its maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Ana also practiced as a psychotherapist in Mexicali. For two years, she provided psychotherapy to children and families at Fundación Tmona, an organization dedicated to supporting children and adolescents with cancer. She later joined Desarrollo Social Municipal, offering psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and couples, as well as teaching parenting classes and facilitating developmental workshops for middle‑school and high‑school students.
In her personal life, Karina dedicates her free time to her family and to her faith, which remain central sources of strength, purpose, and joy.
She now brings her combined background in technology, psychology, and student support to her work at WA Prep, contributing to a caring, organized, and student‑centered school environment.
