Ms. Kristi relocated to WA Prep from Kansas in 2021, where she taught English language and literature at the high school level for over eight years, along with three years of experience in teaching Gifted/Highly Capable pupils. Currently, she teaches various English courses for 6th, 9th, 11th, and 12th grades, and is also responsible for the ESL course. Moreover, she has aided many students in creating yearly yearbooks as an advisor for two years. Kristi admires the creativity and inquisitiveness of her students. She believes it is enriching to observe them ponder over new ideas, ask difficult questions, and offer fresh perspectives. She considers it a privilege to love learning, and that adoration of learning, combined with her profession, enables her to learn from her students every day. Kristi cherishes the humor and vitality that her pupils bring to the classroom, and it makes her laugh. Kristi’s passions outside of the classroom includes gardening and flowers. She relishes the time spent in her garden and acknowledges that flowers make her happy. Although she has yet to master vegetables, Kristi enjoys sharing her flowers or creating bouquets for her kitchen table.
