Education:
Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
University of Delaware, 2023
B.S. in Chemical Engineering
University of Oklahoma, 2018
Will is excited to be joining the mathematics faculty at Washington Preparatory School. Trained as a research scientist, he spent the last five years quantifying the effects of physical and chemical stressors on “extracellular vesicles”—small, membrane-bound “bubbles” which function as a sort of cellular “postal service.” He has also dabbled in computational nuclear engineering at Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois. Will has taught college-level chemical engineering coursework in Delaware—the “Chemical Capital of the World”—and has worked extensively with high school speech and debate students throughout Oklahoma, guiding them to national qualifications and even a state championship. Will is particularly interested in helping students apply opaque and esoteric math concepts to accessible, real-world topics such as heat transfer, fluid flow, and chemical processes. In his free time, Will enjoys hiking, cooking, classical music, creative writing, and exploring the world—he has visited 49 states and 30 countries.
